A little hope in a coffee tree.

San Isidro matters because it represents something coffee farmers desperately need: the possibility that resilience and quality do not have to be opposites.

Coffee leaf rust has changed the economics and the future of coffee farming across Latin America. A variety able to stand up to that pressure is valuable. However, when that same plant can also produce a (genuinely) beautiful cup, it becomes something much more exciting.

That is why we think coffees like San Isidro deserve to be named, separated and celebrated. They are proof that the future of coffee does not have to mean choosing between a tree that survives and a coffee worth getting excited about.

For us, that makes San Isidro more than an interesting variety. It is part of the hope that coffee farming can still have a future.
